So we can't do our box office totals yet but I have been to see a few of the new stinkers that are out there!

Last night we ventured off for a viewing of John Tucker Must Die, a cute movie that was a bit better than I thought it would be I suppose Jesse Metcalfe played the all highschool asshole pretty well but I was more interested in his "deep" brother, but we'll come back to that.

John Tucker = notorious slut, captain of the basketball team, has three girlfriends, parents are freaking loaded and he is wanted by all. Enter Brooke from OTH and girl from the Pacifier, as well as Ashanti and girl I've never seen before and we've got trouble.

Pacifier is new in town, her mom played by Jenny McCarthy is a freaking slut and everytime Skip dumps her she moves to a new town. Well enter a John Tucker's hometown and 3 very pissed off girls who all find out they are dating him. Let the games begin, Pacifier agrees to help Brooke, Ashanti and bobble head destroy John Tucker. Enter some lame pranks that actually benefit John and John dumping all 3 original girlfriends.

Enter hot brotha. He befriends Pacifier and becomes her lab partner, they've got amazing chemistry blah blah but the next stage of the plan is for Pacifier to date John, make him fall in love and then crush his heart. Enter Pacifier feeling bad about the entire thing and becoming a big bitch to her Mom etc. So she pulls out of the plan but the other 3 girls expose the plan. Voila. You've got a Pacifier in love with the broesph who won't speak to her. John not speaking to anyone. And three pissed of single girls. In the end they all make nice, and John tells his next two girlfriends about eachother. Well it was okay, the hot brotha was the best part for me because I am a slut. I laughed, cried and nearly killed some members of the audience. There were far too many annoying bitches there.

Enter next movie I saw this week My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Now this movie was okay, I actually had to sit through it twice and I didn't fall asleep but still not overly amazing. Uma Thurman aka G-Girl aka Jenny is your average girl who works in a museum she's just also a blonde super hero. Enter Luke Wilson aka Matt Saunders who is an architect who works downtown New York. Boy meets girl, is rejected by girl, saves her purse from a robber, girl does boy. Uma does a really good job at playing an ugly psycho which is great. This relationship was a stinker right from the beginning much like the movie. She immediately tells Wilson about her super powers (she can fly and is indestructable) and chaos insues.
You see Wilson loves Anna Faris aka Hannah from the office, so he dumps G-Girl who proceeds to wreck all of his shit. Well shit son that sucks.

Enter annoying bestfriend ironically named Vaughn who I am convinced is a gay man but he does make a lot of vulgar straight jokes. Enter G-Girls gay nemesis aka her higschool boyfriend and you can figure out the rest yourself.

Another weekend full of box office openings and some poor ones at that, for the THIRD WEEK IN A ROW! Pirates is number fucking 1 raking in 35 million, and the rest of our new releases are not doing too well. Opening in 2nd is Monster House, I heard it's a cutsie movie probably something I will never ever see but opened with 23 mil nonetheless. And opening third was the big stinker ...

So I went to see Lady In The Water last night and I'll say this I was not as unimpressed as I thought I would be and yet still not so impressed. The plot was cheesy, characters ugly and me = bored and falling asleep. A renter if anything people M. is trying to be to "unique" with this one and yet he is being just as rank as all of the other cheesy horror movies. Let's just say at times it was weird, the acting was fucking terrible and let's not even start with the ending. It made 18 million.

In fourth was You, Me and Dupree with 12 mil and fourth Little Man earning 11 (see last week's entry for my scared thoughts)

And in sixth Clerks 2 opened making 9.6 million followed by My Super Ex-Girlfriend (aka the movie I wish I would've saw) making 8.7. These opening numbers are pathetic jesus! There are a lot of pissed off studios right now!

All in all see Pirates again people or even You, Me and Dupree because it's a real shit fest out there!

Solo artists J.C. Chasez, Justin Timberlake, and Robin Thicke are all releasing sophomore albums before the end of this year.

Of the three artists, the most familiar is Justin Timberlake, who's second effort, SexyBack, is shaping up to be a strong follow-up to his 2002 debut, Justified.

Chasez and Thicke haven't experienced as much commercial success as Timberlake, but all that may change with Thicke's, The Evolution of Robin Thicke, and Chasez's new (untitled) release. Chasez's first album, Schizophrenic, was just that -- Schizophrenia in both style and flavor. Schizophrenic incorporated so many different musical styles and genres that it was more than just a R&B/Pop album, it had a little something for everyone.

And while on the subject of 'something for everyone,' Robin Thicke's first album did an excellent job of showcasing his combination of falsetto voice and writing ability. Thicke recently teamed up with super star producer Pharell Williams and Star Trax for, The Evolution of Robin Thicke, which judging by the album's first two singles, "Wanna Love U Girl" and "Lost Without You," is shaping up to be something special.

To fully appreciate artists like Thicke, Chasez, or Timberlake you have to experience them as they grow rather than waiting on the sidelines to become a Bandwagoneer.

Case in Point:

Beyonce's first solo effort shows her growth from one-third of Destiny's Child; Mariah Carey's Emancipation of Mimi is a totally different sound from what she was doing on Emotions; Justin Timberlake's first album is a complete 180 from what he did with NSync. So as we approach this next surge of quality music, let's take the time to discover and celebrate artists who make good music regardless of color.

The artist formally known as C-Murder is currently awaiting a re-trial for second degree murder charges. He is charged with the murder of a 16 year old boy who was shot and killed a club in Harvey.

Murder has been under house arrent since March 20th after paying half a mil for his bond. Murder was convicted but the judge said nah son because some of the witnesses had criminal backrounds that the jurors weren't made aware of.

NBC's Summer reality show America's Got Talent may be in the shitter.

TMZ obtained a cease and desist letter sent to Fremantle Productions, Inc., which produces "America's Got Talent." The letter claims that a contestant on the show -- Leonid Filatov who plays "Leonid the Magnificant" and "Silver Man" in the Vegas Show, Beacher's Madhouse -- was plucked from stage production, which is performed regularly at the Hard Rock Hotel. According to the letter, a rep from Fremantle who was booking talent for the show contacted Beacher's Madhouse and said, "Our show starts in 4 weeks and quite honestly, although we have seen some A List talent, I'm still short about another 20 hot acts for this competion." The rep then allegedly said: "Las Vegas is my last stop. Either I find it there, or I get fired."

The fate of the WB television show is up in the air. The new network CW has picked up the show for it's seventh and what looks like may be final season. The shows creator has officially left the project leaving the shows two stars not so convinced of their future.

Bledel and Graham made statements this past week on the fate of the show:

"Your legal contracts are up and you begin to imagine what-if," Graham told the Television Critics Association's summer meeting. "I don't want to be in a situation where I feel sorry for me. I've seen that happen to actors and shows where the thing is done, let it be over. I don't know that we're in that situation."

Bledel added, "I really don't know what this year is going to be like. I'm going to see what it's like, then decide how I feel. We'll see."

It seems to me like the bitch girls of Stars Hollow just aren't happy with the writing and the pay and the show may just about have reached it's end. Although it probably should have ended 4 years ago jebus!
